حدود نیم قرن پیش علم ماركتینگ به عنوان بعضی از دروس رشته هایی چون مدیریت بازرگانی، وارد دانشگاه های یران شد. در آن زمان ماركتینگ را "بازاریابی" ترجمه كردند. اما ین ترجمه بسیار ناقص بود، چون علاوه بر بازاریابی موارد بازارشناسی، بازارسنجی، بازارداری، بازارسازی، بازارگردی، بازارگرمی، بازاركاهی، بازارگردانی، بازارگریی، نیز جزء ماركتینگ هستند، نگارنده بری ترجمه ین واژه بسیار پرمحتوا، "امور بازار" به معنی تمام مواردی كه به حوزه بازار مربوط می شوند را پیشنهاد كرده است. اما ین واژه نیز بید مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و در صورت تصویب در نزد اساتید ین رشته و مراجع مربوطه مورد استفاده قرار گیرد

به صورت عملی كمتر از ده سال است كه بازاریابی وارد بنگاه هی اقتصادی یران شده است. اگر بخواهیم ادعا كنیم كه یك كلمه باعث شكل گیری علم بازاریابی شده است بدون شك آن كلمه “رقابت” است.

بید به ین جمله كه “مشتری رئیس است” یمان بیاوریم و تمام رفتارهی شركت را بر ین اساس شكل دهیم.
فضی كسب وكار بازار یران با سرعت سرسام آوری به سمت رقابتی شدن حركت می كند.در ین فضی پر چالش بنگاه هی اقتصادی را می توان به سه دسته تقسیم كرد.
ـ آنهایی كه موج ساز هستند و با پذیرش ریسك ها تغییرات را می آفرینند.
ـ آنهایی كه موج سوار هستند و با موج تغییرات همساز می شوند.
ـ آنهایی كه تغییرات را نمی بینند و اسیر موج می شوند. بدیهی است كه موج بری آنها تصمیم می گیرد و احتمالاً آنها را به صخره می كوبد.

ین كتاب جهت بهره برداری دانشجویان مقاطع كارشناسی و كارشناسی ارشد رشته هی مدیریت بازرگانی ـ مدیریت اجریی و MBA تالیف گردیده است و علاوه بر آن مدیران بنگاه های اقتصادی و مدیران و كارشناسان حوزه های بازاریابی نیز بخوبی می توانند از آن استفاده كنند.

هتل هیی زیبا و مجهز توسط بخش هی دولتی و خصوصی در نقاط مختلف كشور احداث شده است كه نظر جهانگردان و مسافران را به خود جلب میكنند ولی تنها زیبیی ظاهری و وسیل مدرن هتل ها مورد نظر میهمانان نیست بلكه وجود مدیرانی با لیاقت وكاركنانی شیسته ، مودب ، كارآزموده است كه موجبات رضیت میهمانان را فراهم خواهد آورد .

دلیل متعددی بری موفقیت هتلداران وجود دارد . معماری ، مكانیابی مناسب ، كیفیت غذا و ... هر كدام نقش مهمی در ین موفقیت دارند اما دلیل دیگری نیز وجود دارند كه موجب رضیت میهمانان در هنگام ترك هتل و بازگشت مجدد میهمانان به هتل هی ماست .

همانقدر كه هتل ها با هم فرق می كنند قطعا مشكلات آنها با هم متفاوت است اما اصولی اساسی بری برخورد مناسب مدیران و كاركنان هتل با میهمانان وجود دارد .

خوانندگان در ین كتاب دلیل ارتباطی موفقیت یك هتل را مرور می كنند .
نویسندگان درین كتاب كوشش كرده اند تا راهكارهیی را بری مهمترین وظیفه اخلاقی و اداری كاركنان هتل یعنی ( ارتباط با میهمانان ) تدوین كنند . هرچند ممكن است ین وظیفه بطور كامل و جامع انجام نشده باشد اما تلاش مولفان ین كتاب شیسته تقدیر است زیرا بری اولین بار است كه كتابی با عنوان ( تشریفات هتل ) در یران منتشر می شود .
